I received clothing from Gap in exchange for coverage. All opinions are authentic and my own.
Ellen Degeneres is more than just a brilliantly funny comedian. She changes lives with the opportunities she provides through her show. She is especially known for celebrating talented and generous kids around the world. And by doing that, she inspires millions of kids at home. She has channeled her celebrity influence into fashion with a capsule collection from Gap Kids that is all about girl empowerment. It first launched in the fall 2015 and is continuing with a new sping 2016 collection for both boys and girls available TODAY online and in stores.
The Gap x ED collection and campaign is all about empowering girls to be proud of who they are and not feel the need to change for anyone else. There’s also a social good element to the campaign. Using the hashtag #heyworld followed by a name, a girl’s friend, mother, father or mentor can issue a call to action for social messages of encouragement and love to any girl in need of positive support, cheering her on through the power of positive words. The Gap x Ed collection and its message aligns perfectly with the mission of this blog and the “rules for life” for all Fancy Girls. I’m proud to promote this and encourage you to add at least one of these items to your daughter’s wardrobe. The positive messages on the apparel make you stop and read, and your daughter will inspire others without even trying. Have a look below at some of the shirts and one awesome scribble-writing dress!
