The Fancy Girl Checklist for a Sparkling July 4th Weekend

The Fancy Girl Checklist for a Sparkling July 4th Weekend | AFancyGirlMust.com

We’re a month away from the July 4th holiday, which means there’s just enough time to stock up on some essentials for bike parades, picnics and fireworks! I’ve put together a checklist of sparkly, patriotic items that your Fancy Girl will need to win an honorary “most festive” award of the holiday. There are even faux sparklers to enjoy for the evening festivities, because as we all know: Safety First!

Sparklers

Even though actual sparklers are going to be off limits for the kiddos, it doesn’t mean they can’t sparkle. Light up the night with some fiber optic hair lights. Get them here.

Kids also love glow sticks, and these red, white & blue glow wands make perfect substitutes for sparklers since they actually produce some color.

If you’d like an easy DIY activity to make some safe sparklers that look like they are sparkling (but don’t actually produce any sparkle), all you need is to make a stop at your local dollar store and pick up some supplies. I used a patriotic weighted centerpiece (I removed the weighted part), a white pen without the cap, and duct tape to secure. Full details are coming soon over at the FabKids blog.

Swag Bag

In order to carry all of her July 4th swag for the weekend, your Fancy Girl will need something festive but not too holiday-specific so she can use it again. I love Scout bags, and this Nooner Bag in “Anchor Management” is perfect for the holiday and great all summer long.

Fancy Girl On Parade

Lastly, if your Fancy Girl is going to participate in a bike parade, you need a bike that’s dressed to the 9’s. Instead of stocking up on a lot of individual items, grab this Patriotic Decorating Kit that will give you everything you need, and more!

For Fancy Girl Moms

Actually lastly– let’s not forget who will really be carrying all this stuff to the party: mom and/or dad and/or both. And there will most likely be some coffee involved in this. I just adore the coffee cozies by Catherine Mason. The Americana cozy is perfect for the holiday and takes care of some of the red, white and blue bling that you’ll need.
