Frozen has officially trumped Princesses in our house. It is now the benchmark of everything for my girls: Clothes? Frozen colors. Nail polish? Frozen colors. Bead necklace crafts? Frozen colors. You get my drift. Thankfully, we have not had the movie and the soundtrack playing non-stop for months now. As someone who has a closet full of cobalt and royal blue items, I will admit to liking my girls’ preferred color palette. We’ve come a long way from “blue is for boys.” My Fresh Picks this week are all about Frozen-inspired colors in real life, from fashion to crafts.
1. Essie nail polish is varying shades of blue (let the kids decide what’s Frozen-ish. Much easier that way!)
2. Celery stamps on canvas via Better Homes & Gardens
3. Painted Mason Jars from Etsy (listed as Spring colors, but we all know they’re Ana colors)
4. Frozen-inspired paint colors by Sherwin-Williams. Upload any picture to their Chip It! site, and they will give you a palette to work with. Little tidbit: Go with a very faint color on the walls, because when they’re totally over Frozen and blue, you’re going to be stuck with blue, blue and blue.
5. Rise & Shine in Blue, 9 by Novogratz on Walmart.com. My eldest Fancy Girl has this comforter and she absolutely LOVES it. And it’s Frozen-ish without being Frozen-ish.
6. Winter Pony Beads from Oriental Trading. Endless Frozen fun with these!
7. North Face Fleeces in Elsa blues and Ana purples. Did they plan this?
8. Finally, something for all the grown-up Fancy Girls. Wear your love for Frozen in a subtle way with some statement jewelry from Bauble Bar.
