On any given day, my Fancy Girls will come home from school with either a drawing or special craft made by their BFF. And it warms my heart when they get excited about making something to give back. Just the other night, my eldest was finishing up a blinged-out Happy Birthday picture for her bestie, and she even drew and labeled her favorite candy on it. With our crazy schedules, it’s often too difficult to schedule playdates, but I’m glad the girls are able to have enough time during the school day to develop these special friendships. With Valentine’s Day coming up, I know I’ll be shopping for the little playing card-sized cards for the class, and I think we’ll do something extra special for their BFFs. If your Fancy Girl has a BFF to exchange gifts with, here are some ideas below. The gifts range in picks for preschool-aged through tween & teen. I especially love the Batgirl necklaces: there’s nothing overtly “BFF” about them, but it’s special for friends to rock their inner super hero together. And for your tween-aged fashionistas, the beaded friendship bracelet from J.Crew is a more subtle way to show off your BFF status.
