This week was the first day of dance class for my girls. My eldest daughter takes jazz and my middle is in a Kindergarten class that covers ballet and jazz. They live for dancing– both in class and at home. Music is always playing in the house, and the girls are always putting on recitals to the latest mainstream or Radio Disney hit. And they dance year-round now: over the summer they went to ballet camp at our local YWCA. When the first day of dance for the year came around, the one thing they both couldn’t wait to put on today was their dance gear. Even though dance attire is pretty uniform, there are plenty of tutus, leg-warmers and additional dance accessories that help add a little flair to the look. One celebrity Fancy Girl who is clearly winning at this is Charlotte Prinze. Or maybe I should say, Sarah Michelle Gellar is winning at the ballet class attire for her mini-me. Like mother, like daughter, they both love their sunglasses, skull print and boots. If SMG ever starts her own line of rocker ballerina clothing for kids, sign me up! Until then, take some inspiration from Charlotte. Check under the pictures for links to similar clothing/accessories.
