If you’re up to date on your color trends, then you’d know that the hot hue of the moment is Millennial Pink. It’s not a new pink by any means (NYMAG’s The Cut chronicles its longevity from the 1700’s!), but it has become the color of a generation with its ability to blur the lines between masculine and feminine. Millennial Pink can vary between beige blush to a preppy pink (aka salmon pants). It works in fashion, housewares, retail and restaurants, furniture, and the list goes on. This kind of pink has also been quite trendy in kidswear this fall, winter and now into spring/summer. Kidswear is always all over the color spectrum, and this summer is all about retro beachy vibes and the pastel colors of the coast. Millennial pink fits right in with its younger sibling, and below are some ways to incorporate it into your Fancy Girl’s world.
For starters – Forever21 Kids has A LOT of Millennial Pink products. They even use the color as the page header. This is one of my my eldest daughter’s favorite brands, so I thought I’d start with that.
