Quvenzhane Wallis is now a 2-time award nominee at the ripe old age of 11. We first met her at last year’s Oscars (carrying the now famous puppy purse), where she was the youngest nominee ever for Best Actress for her role as Hushpuppy in Beasts of the Southern Wild. And just the other night, she arrived on the red carpet for the Golden Globes as a Best Actress nominee for her role as orphan Annie in the remake of the 80’s classic. Quvenzhane left the puppy purse behind this time, looking the part of a sophisticated young lady in a custom Armani Junior lilac gown with ivory beaded top. Her hair was light and fun with loose curls cascading to one side.
This wasn’t the first time, or the last, you’ll see Ms. Wallis in Armani Junior either. She wore the designer for the 2013 Oscars and to the Annie premiere, and this past summer she was named the face of the brand through Spring/Summer 2015. Check out this behind-the-scenes video of her Armani Junior campaign.
A dress like this would be perfect for spring holidays and special events, just not with the Armani price tag. I found a few similar styles that you can replicate for much less. Shop the looks below.
