I love finding brands on Instagram. It’s one of my favorite platforms for unique and independent businesses who I think you all would love! From clothing to decor to quirky accessories, I look for it all and love to spread the word on newbies whenever possible. That’s how I was introduced to Honey and Clover, a Texas-based eco-friendly children’s clothing company who has just opened their online shop of girls’ clothing. The founder and designer, Yen Pham, spent most of her time sourcing materials best suited for children’s skins and creating beautiful, classic designs.
With social media making brands more accountable to their customers for everything from ingredients/materials to company culture, it’s refreshing when companies are transparent and make that part of their brand identity. Honey and Clover explains through a very simple infographic what process is involved in determining the cost of their clothes. They also practice ethical work conditions for their designers and manufacturers by partnering with Hien’s sewing group in Vietnman, where all of the seamstresses work out of their homes. When you know more about the people who make the product, it makes you appreciate it even more. While the Honey and Clover clothing looks beautiful online, the 100% pre-shrunk surplus orchard polka dot linen dress and matching orchard turban they sent Evelyn were even more impressive in person.
I feel like with linen, you handle things more delicately. You can see the craftsmanship in the detail of the ruffle and the box pleat. Most importantly, the clothing is comfortable and easy to play in. On the product page, they even tell you how to pick sizes depending on the fit you want.
If you’re looking to get a special outfit for your Fancy Girl, OR gift one to someone else, I highly recommend Honey and Clover! Learn more and start shopping at https://www.honey-clover.com.
