When my eldest Fancy Girl was putting her birthday wishlist together, one thing she wanted was an upgrade to her current bedding situation. More specifically – she wanted new bed sheets that weren’t covered in ballerinas or in the color pink. She originally wanted white sheets with blue dots, but I had an inkling that she would like something whimsical. I mean – this is the girl that put narwhal slippers and an emoji pillow on her wishlist. I wasn’t quite sure what level of whimsy to go for, but then I got some inspiration in a completely random way. I don’t remember how I got there, but I was looking at the Instagram account for actress Molly Tarlov from MTV’s Awkward, and I scrolled to a picture of her sitting on new sheets with fruit all over it. I knew Maddy would love these and figured it wouldn’t be too hard to find fruit (or even food) print sheets. I was already getting a new comforter for her from Target, so it didn’t take long for me to find the sheets there too (on sale for $36.09).
