Subscription boxes are all the rage and I thought it was time for my girls to get in on the fun. The way I look at it – instead of throwing my money at random accessories and goodies here and there, it’s more fun (and cost effective) to let a pre-selected box come to us!
I was doing Rocksbox for awhile and recently put that on hold to give FabFitFun a try. Shortly after my first box arrived and I saw how much my girls enjoyed seeing the variety of products (some of which they could use too), I jumped online to find subscription boxes just for girls. And that’s when I found The Boodle Box.
To get started, you select the age range of the recipient (choices are 6-11 and 12+) and then choose the duration of the subscription. You can do a one-time gift purchase for $29.99, but we signed up for a full year at $19/month.
The first box that arrived is appropriately themed for Back to School. As you can see from the photos below, the box contained things that girls would love to start a new school year with: a Vera Bradley pencil tin (retails at $12), nail art stickers (retails at $2), glitter & a glue stick, a “tough cookie” notepad, Popband hair bands (retails at $1.29), and a purple braided scarf (retails for $19.99).
If you find that you’re suffering from FOMO from earlier boxes, you can order prior months in the Shop or you can build your own box from their assortment of individual items.
Not only has this been fun for the girls, but I think Boodle Box would be a great gift idea for all those birthday parties you’ll get invited to.
