*Disclaimer: I received a gift card from The Mills in exchange for my participation in Takeover Tuesday.
Did you follow my #TakeoverTuesday with The Mills at Jersey Gardens? I had so much fun on assignment to share what’s hot for spring. But I could only share so much before annoying you with fashion spam (is that even possible??). Anyway, below are more of my finds on our shopping excursion. One of these days, I’ll go back up alone to shop just for me!
Savings Passport: If you are serious about saving when you’re at The Mills, start with the Savings Passport, available at guest services. Or, go to The Mills website and click Deals to see current sales at all of the stores.
Rain Chic! Our first stop was at Century 21 (exclusive to The Mills) to get a raincoat for moi! The Michael Kors label was calling my name, and it was a steal at $89!
Tropical Vibes: Now that I was done, it was on to the girls. First up was Carter’s for shorts and shirts. I didn’t realize that they go up to size 8, which means I can shop for all 3 in one place. Two things I loved about spring at Carter’s: tropical prints and soft shorts!
Fringe! The 80s are back in full force! We stopped at Children’s Place to have a look at shoes, but we were (okay, I was) easily distracted by the clothing. And as you’ll see by the sandals below, animal print is still alive and well in fashion land.
Crocs! Here’s something I didn’t think of until we were at the Crocs store. These silvery sandals are both dressy for when you need something and comfortable for wearing to school. And then in the picture below, you see that coral/orange tone that’s huge for this season!
More Orange! We ran over to Old Navy to check out their shoe collection and spotted even more of the popular orange for this spring. Even my anti-pink Fancy Girl loved this color and got herself a pair of shorts! If you’re wondering what to pair with orange, you can really do anything! My favorites are denim, black and grey, but here are some tips on how to pair colors using the color wheel to give you even more ideas. They also have their own line of activewear, which is popping up for kids from many of your favorite brands.
Kidstown! If it’s your first time to The Mills and you’re on the hunt for major discounts, head over to Kidstown. It’s a huge store of super slashed prices for both boys and girls. They have shoes, clothing, jackets, formalwear, toys, and even school uniforms.
Vince! We were all done, but I wanted to make one last “drive by” past Vince Camuto to see what was hot for spring. I had a total SJP moment from Sex in the City (“hello luvahhhhh”) when I saw the neon, the neon bags and then the neon shoes!! Oh wow! Hot! And get this: From now until April 20th, save 25% when you buy 2 or more handbags or pairs of shoes.
I want to thank The Mills again for the opportunity to do some shopping for spring. So tell me, what are your kids wearing this season? What is on your need, want and must list!
