If you’re like me, you’re just realizing that this is the last week before Christmas and YIKES you still have gifts to buy!! If you have a Fancy Girl who also loves helping in the kitchen, I have a great gift idea that’s both eco-friendly and fancy! But hurry! You need to order by DEC 18 (TUESDAY) to arrive by Christmas (there’s also rush delivery options too). Meet Two Sweet Mamas: The North Jersey duo makes youth aprons and upcycled tees in feminine, fancy and unique designs.
Here’s a little background from Cynthia, one of the owners:
A chance meeting while waiting to finalize the adoption of our respective daughters grew into a great friendship. Picture this: We’re hanging out in the lobby of the courthouse. Eda said, “Oh I love your daughter’s hat.” Cynthia said, “I made that! I love your bag with all the pictures on it.” Eda said, “I made that!” The craft connection was made! Now that our daughters are teenagers (oh no!), we’ve decided to turn our passion for sewing and crafting into a business. Since we miss those carefree days of nursery school (sigh), we are focusing on clothing and accessories for little girls. For hosting all those tea parties or helping Mommy make the cookies, we’ve created a line of gorgeous aprons for your little ones. Since little should girls look cute and sweet, we’ve created a line of girls’ dresses from vintage and rescued fabrics. Inspired by the beauty in ordinary things, our mission is to make the ordinary extraordinary!
Below are just some of the elegant and adorable aprons available from $16 and up for little girl, youth and adult (select designs) so you AND your Fancy Girl can enjoy your kitchen boding time together. All are made of 100% cotton and are machine washable.
Their tees ($35) and capelets ($32) are made from upcycled fabrics in combinations that are so unique, you’re surely not going to find anything like them in any store. All products featured in this post were hand selected by my eldest FG (age 4). She noted how “cool” and “different” the tees were.
I always loved baking with my mom when I was little and there’s something about having your own apron that makes the activity even more memorable. Sure, your Fancy Girl might think you’re the best mom in the world for getting her the Barbie Dream Townhouse, but the opportunity to be just like mom is even more fun!
