This is my first time blogging here since the date of the second most recent post. You know how it is: work, life, and, um, a pandemic got in the way. Admittedly, I didn’t have much energy to make this blog a welcome escape from the hustle of my work life. It used to be a creative escape, until it became a numbers game. But, as I was scrolling Instagram on my first day of a work/holiday vacation, I paused at a quote shared by New Jersey Family Magazine that summarized my feelings perfectly: “I thought 2020 would be the year I got everything I wanted. Now I know 2020 is the year I appreciate everything I have.”
Not only did this quote resonate with me – especially because it’s Thanksgiving – but it’s something that I found myself telling others. Yeah – it’s been an extremely stressful and difficult year, but I am incredibly thankful to have a job, to have health, and to have my family -all of my family – still here. Everything else just becomes trivial.
So with that, as my first blog post in forever, I’m sharing some motivational Instagram posts and accounts that not only say what’s in my head but are inspirational for others.
And I would like to say this is the start of new beginning, but we’ll see. I know Pantone will be announcing the Color of 2021, so I at least have that to come!
