b. you in this anti-bullying campaign t-shirt

Here’s a perfect example of how you’re never too young to do some social good. Etsy shop owner Cassandra of cbrdesign reached out to me via Twitter recently about an anti-bullying campaign that her 14-year old daughter Caitlyn started after witnessing an instance of bullying at school. Caitlyn designed women’s size t-sirts with the simple, yet powerful message “b.you” printed across the front. Her hope with the campaign is to empower women and girls “to be their own unique self.”  She is donating $1 from every sale to Girls, Inc., and she is already halfway to her $500 goal.

Bullying hits home for everyone, and the severity only seems to be escalating because of the accessibility of social media. It’s become so easy for kids, and even adults, to attack each other using words on a screen and have it spill over into school day. But as we can learn from kids like Caitlyn as well as another young woman in Canada who started the Positive Post-It Day after getting bullied on Facebook, sometimes simple positive messages are just the arsenal we need to fight back against the bullies. That is why I love this campaign and am more than happy to help spread the word. b. you anti-bullying campaign t-shirt by cbrdesign | AFancyGirlMust.com The b.you shirts are $10 each and come in women’s sizes XS, S, M, L, XL. The seller indicated the shirts run a little small, so it’s best to go up a size.

Let’s help Caitlyn meet her goal!
