Real Fancy Girl Fashion: Fancy Nancy-Inspired

My oldest Fancy Girl has been playing fashionista with one of the new (and most twirlable) dresses she received for Christmas. She wears it practically every day, whether it’s for making a craft or reading a book. I think being fancy is her comfort zone. What’s more, she has assembled a look that is going to be perfect for when my mom and I take her to see  Fancy Nancy The Musical this month.  She’s already been speaking the Nancy language (“wow mom, I look super posh!”) and she references her favorite book character whenever she feels fancy or acts it (pinkies up). Seeing her live will be like a sugary topping on a vanilla parfait.

Our Fancy Nancy-inspired outfit is a Target Cherokee fuchsia party dress with Children’s Place purple cardigan-neither of which are available online. But there are plenty of purple and pink options out there to achieve a similar look. If your FG’s have any Fancy Nancy events coming up, feel free to take a cue from the tres chic ideas below.
